Kerry Phelan began his career at PGP in 2002, cultivating and managing broker relationships as an Employee Benefits Consultant in their Hauppauge, NY office. In working with his broker and consultant partners, Kerry prides himself on a strong work ethic and dedication to his business, delivering best in class service, and working to find the optimal solution for their client’s employee benefit and compliance needs. His knowledge of the industry and Healthcare Reform has enabled his business partners to earn new clients and assist current clients navigate the new rules and regulations. Since 2007, Kerry has consistently been awarded the top honor of PGP’s #1 Sales Representative. The growth of Kerry’s business has been instrumental in helping PGP become one of the largest insurance general agencies in the country.
In 2017 Kerry was named President of PGP managing the entire sales force, carrier relations, contracts, marketing, and new product initiatives. Kerry maintains involvement in all stages of the sales and service process, which affords his brokers and consultant partners the highest level of service and marketing results for their clients. Kerry is known throughout the industry for his knowledge, attention to detail and work ethic. He serves on all leading carrier advisory boards and is a consultant for new product developments and service delivery enhancements to improve the customer Health Care purchasing experience.
Kerry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Geneseo University and resides in St. James, New York with his wife and children.
