2024 Paid Family Leave

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) set the NY PFL rate and benefit amounts for 2024 as follows:

The maximum contribution rate for PFL will be 0.373% of the employee’s gross annualized wages capped at the New York State Average Weekly Wage (NYSAWW) of $1,718.15 per week for 2024.
This means the 2024 maximum annual contribution per employee for PFL is $333.25.
Employees taking Paid Family Leave receive 67% of their average weekly wage, up to a cap of 67% of the current Statewide Average Weekly Wage (SAWW).
This means the 2024 maximum weekly benefit is $1,151.16.
